The great thing about glamping in the New Forest, rather than camping, is that you’ll have access to a decent bathroom and kitchen facilities, to yourself.

Amazingly there aren’t that many New Forest glamping spots to enjoy, which is why I’ve decided to include some New Forest huts too. If you’re looking for somewhere unique to stay in the New Forest, then these glamping spots are well worth a stay.

I’ve written a whole post on the unique things to do in the New Forest, so if you want to make a weekend or week of it, then take a look at all the New Forest attractions too.

Take a look at my top picks for glamping in the New Forest

1. Cosy Cabin, Alderhot, New Forest

How about a cosy cabin on the edge of the New Forest this autumn?

This handcrafted log cabin is rustic and authentic, with an amazing veranda for relaxing. You’ll have a living room, kitchen area, bathroom and a garden too. The perfect size for the two of you to go glamping in the New Forest.

Nestled in the charming village of Alderholt, near Fordingbridge, the cabin offers a picturesque view of the lush local woods.

Stay here and Mudeford Beach and Bournemouth Beach are both less than a 20-minute drive away, and you’re right by all the joys of the New Forest too. The cabin’s prime location makes it an ideal base for exploring the New Forest, the vibrant city of Bournemouth, the historic city of Salisbury, and the coastal allure of Poole.

2. Yurt camping, Sopley Lake, New Forest

This ‘peaceful, tranquil and comfortable camping’ looks absolute dreams.

Great fun for friends or couples to enjoy a few nights in the heart of the New Forest. Stay here and you’ll enjoy a comfortable double bed with a real mattress, and a picnic & barbecue area too.

“Our luxurious yurts are all around Sopley Lake, surrounded by PYO fields close the stunning New Forest, providing an ideal base for exploring the area’s diverse wildlife, picturesque villages, and breathtaking landscapes. Country pubs are walkable from the yurts and the farm shop at the lake entrance has a fabulous bakery and seasonal fruit and vegetables.”
